Have you ever wondered why we use birth certificates as identification, but if a random person found yours, they wouldn't be able to attribute it to any particular physical body?

Are you a name? Or do you merely USE that name?

I may USE a lawnmower, but that does not mean that I AM that lawnmower.

Who really owns the name that you use? Who placed their seal at the top of your birth certificate?

Maybe "your" name is just a vessel, created for your benefit, to operate within a certain jurisdiction, much like a playable character in a video game defined by a certain set of rules.
