My boys and I pulled the big weeds from the raspberry patch, scattered and scratched in oat, pea and diakon seeds, and tucked the weed tops over the bed to keep the marauding chickens from eating the cover crops. As I was finishing (and the boys were shooing chickens) it began to rain. And now it's dropping the most beautiful steady rain.

It's probably rained more this afternoon than it has in the last 4-6 weeks
