OMG editing is so boring and hard 😭 I'm hoping to get more of my money's worth from my editor if I can do the obvious stuff first. Working backwards from the end because the beginning always gets revised more just because it was written first. Slowly but surely, will get this done in the next three days 🤞

I used AI for some scenes I was having trouble with and now the biggest lift of the editing process is rewriting those scenes so they don't sound like AI slop. Why does AI so consistently misuse emdashes? Why can't it capture the charming tone of my actual writing so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. Honestly editing would have been easier had I not used AI at all 😭

I do enjoy making AI give me motivational speeches, those are class at least 💖

Ask it to analyze your writing style and then to use your writing style to edit

Eh, you're missing the point. I don't even like using Word anymore because Microsoft scrapes everything to train it's AI. I regret using AI as much as I have, and using it more in a different way isn't the solution. I am not a fan of derivative purple prose and I can't imagine my readers would be either.

It's a useful tool when used sparingly, but everyone on here seems way too reliant on it for content creation and I hate it.

I literally just said I don't use word. I use scrivener.

What's only office?
