When you rented a movie and someone didn’t rewind it. Bad form 🤣

I remember when the tape machines with auto rewind when you finished watching came out

My age is definitely showing because I didn't know auto rewind was a newer feature. All my VHS players would auto rewind at the end of the movie. I guess I had it good for a millennial 😂

We have an age difference but not that much I think. I remember seeing the ads in the RadioShack flyer. It was amazing, you just had to wait a bit after watching the movie and it was ready to bring back to blockbuster

I don't remember that. I always thought the VHS tape rewinds decently fast. Were they slower at some point before?

I don’t think the speed increased necessarily. But the one we had before didn’t rewind when you finished watching. You had to remember to do it. The newer ones just did it automatically after the watch

I remember walking out of the room to get a snack and coming back with the tv still on and seeing those symbols. I used to try and wonder what they meant lol

Those were the ones I grew up with. That's funny, I had no idea how convenient it was for me. You could just turn the tv off after the movie was done and go to sleep. Then it'll rewind itself after the credits finish.
