Wait until you need to do a Mittelherkunftsnachwei (proof of funds origins). Heard stories totally crazy. E.g. you need to proof that you had enough funds to buy bitcoin, stamps, art back in the day. Ifyou got bitcoin as a gift the proof has to be done by the giver. Total crazy surveillance shit in Austria, not sure about other countries but it will come to whole EU for sure.
That said, we need to drive merchant adoption to break the link and buy everything wit bitcoin directly.

Merchants are called points of control I think. They are deputised under the same regime.
This will not even change the problem of the proof of funds origins, if you buy some physical things with it, these criminals could ask you how you actually get them etc...
This is why I consider that spending Bitcoin for real items or against cash, is only to purchase things that are consumed immediatly (food, hobbies, travelling, services), but not to buy durable goods...Or you gave to leave the UE socialistan
