You have a small boat, which is not large enough to take more than one of them.

If you leave the tiger with the monkey, the tiger will eat the monkey.

If you leave the monkey with the banana, the monkey will eat the banana.

How do you get all 3 across the river?

Take the monkey across.

Go back

Take the banana across and leave it. Pick up the monkey and bring monkey back. Pick up tiger.

Bring tiger across and leave with banana.

Return and pick up banana. Bring banana across to complete the trip.
