RIDDLE TIME

Prize: 69,000 sats awarded to the first correct answer.

A tiger, a monkey and a banana must be ferried to the other side of a river.

You have a small boat, which is not large enough to take more than one of them.

If you leave the tiger with the monkey, the tiger will eat the monkey.

If you leave the monkey with the banana, the monkey will eat the banana.

First, take the monkey across the river with the boat and leave it on the other side. Then, go back and take the tiger across the river with the boat, but bring the banana with you. Leave the tiger on the other side with the banana and bring the boat back to the starting side. Finally, take the banana across the river with the boat and leave it on the other side with the monkey.

The monkey eat the banana and then the tiger eats the monkey. Now you can get all 3 across in 1 trip.

Came here to say this

You can follow these steps to get all 3 across the river safely:

Take the monkey across the river first, leaving the tiger and the banana on the original side.

Leave the monkey on the other side and go back for either the tiger or the banana.

If you pick up the banana, you can give it to the monkey on the other side and take the tiger across next.

If you pick up the tiger, you can bring it across the river and then go back for the banana.

Once you have the banana, you can bring it across the river and reunite it with the monkey.

In either case, you will have successfully transported all three without any of them being eaten.

Not quite

You never said they have to be alive so let the monkey eat the banana, then let the tiger eat the monkey. Bring the tiger across with the monkey in its stomach, and the banana in the monkeys stomach.

Lol no

Buy a bigger boat?

Monkey eats the banana then the tiger eats the monkey. Cross the tiger and all 3 goes into the other side of the river.

Monkey eat banana, tiger eat monkey, hop on boat, get tiger to other side

Tiger poops out monkey

Monkey poops out banana

Banana poops out Richard Heart

Take the monkey first, come back take the tiger, bring back monkey with you take the banana, come back take the monkey.

Is this just a mini towers of Hanoi problem?

Here's how to get all three safely across the river

Step 1: Take the monkey across the river, leaving the tiger and banana on the original side.

Step 2: Leave the monkey on the other side and go back across the river.

Step 3: Pick up the tiger and bring it across the river with you.

Step 4: Drop off the tiger on the original side and pick up the banana.

Step 5: Bring the banana across the river and leave it with the monkey.

And that's it! All three have safely made it to the other side of the river, without anyone getting eaten πŸ‘€

Take monkey, leave it

Take tiger, bring monkey

Drop monkey back at start

Take banana, leave it with Tiger

Go back for monkey

Profit.

Eat banana. Then ferry tiger and monkey separately.

Tiger first, then banana, then monkey

Monkey will eat the banana while looking at you and tiger πŸ˜‚

To get all three across the river, you can follow these steps:

1. Take the monkey across the river, leaving the tiger and the banana on the original side.

2. Leave the monkey on the far side of the river, and return to the original side of the river.

3. Take the tiger across the river, leaving the banana on the original side.

4. Leave the tiger on the far side of the river, and pick up the monkey.

5. Take the monkey back across the river, and leave it on the original side.

6. Finally, take the banana across the river and leave it with the tiger.

This way, each animal is transported across the river without being left alone with its natural predator, and all three animals and the banana end up on the other side of the river.

To solve this puzzle, you can use the following steps:

Take the monkey first and leave the tiger and the bananas on the starting side.

Leave the monkey on the opposite side and return to the starting side alone.

Take the tiger to the opposite side and leave it there. Pick up the monkey and bring it back to the starting side.

Leave the monkey on the starting side and pick up the bananas. Bring them to the opposite side and leave them with the tiger.

Return to the starting side alone and pick up the monkey, bringing it to the opposite side where the tiger and bananas are waiting.

Eat the banana

1. Take the monkey across, return

2. Take the tiger across + return with the monkey

3. Take the banana across, return

4. Take the monkey across for 2nd time

5. Eat the banana cuz you now need the energy with all that physical output of boat driving.

1. Take monkey across, leave tiger with banana

2. Take banana across, then take monkey back

3. Take tiger across

4. Take monkey across again

step 1: kill the tiger and the monkey.

Step 2: make a coat out of them.

Step 3: grab the banana, put on your new coat and row across the Roger.

Step 4: eat the banana because that was hard work.

Easy.

Take monkey across and go back.

Take tiger across and pick up monkey and go back.

Drop off monkey, pick up banana and take it across.

Go back for final trip to pick up monkey.

To solve this riddle, we must think outside the box and consider an unconventional solution. Here's one possible answer:

We can build a bridge across the river so that all three can cross safely without the need for a boat. This way, the tiger, the monkey, and the banana can all cross the river at the same time and without the risk of any of them eating each other.

Alternatively, we could use a larger boat that can accommodate all three animals and the banana at the same time. This way, we can transport them all across the river together without any risk of them harming each other.

The key to solving this riddle is to think creatively and to consider alternatives to the given constraints. By doing so, we can find a solution that allows us to transport all three animals and the banana across the river safely and without any harm.

I gave this same exact answer in catholic school back in the 90’s and the nun told me to shut up lol πŸ˜‚

I mean yeah. but also OK ChatGPT.

All alive?

1. Take monkey over

4. Return with monkey

5. Take banana over

6. Return empty

7. Take monkey over, done

1. Take the monkey across

2. Go back and get the Tiger. Take the tiger across. When you arrive, put the tiger on the shore and put the monkey back in the boat.

3. Take the money back to the original shore where the banana is. Get the banana and put the monkey back on the original shore.

4. Take banana across and leave it on the opposite shore with the tiger.

5. Return to the original shore and get the monkey. Take the monkey back the opposite shore.

All 3 are now on the opposite shore intact.

You have 2 buckets πŸͺ£.

1 holds exactly 5 gallons.

1 holds exactly 3 gallons.

You have no other measuring devices but you have an unlimited amount of water.

How do you get exactly 4 gallons into the 5 gallon bucket?

Hint: There are 2 correct answers.

Fill both buckets halfway and then pour into the 5 gallon bucket.

That’s a new one. I guess that makes 3 correct answers.

1. Fill the 3 gallon bucket with water.

2. Pour the water from the 3 gallon bucket into the 5 gallon bucket.

3. Fill the 3 gallon bucket again with water.

4. Pour the water from the 3 gallon bucket into the 5 gallon bucket until it is full, leaving 1 gallon of water in the 3 gallon bucket.

5. Pour out the water from the 5 gallon bucket until it is empty.

6. Pour the 1 gallon of water from the 3 gallon bucket into the 5 gallon bucket.

7. Fill the 3 gallon bucket with water.

8. Pour the water from the 3 gallon bucket into the 5 gallon bucket until it is full, which will result in exactly 4 gallons of water in the 5 gallon bucket.

that is from a bruce willis movie heheh
