Centralized Bitcoin L2 scam projects that are recycled from 2014 era or from the ETH L2 cycle are behind the spam change. VC money is pushing this change. The motivation is easy to see. They will fail like they did in 2014.
These can and should be using anchor hashes in the op_return. It doesn't need to be big. That is if they need to put data on the base chain at all.
Bitcoin will emerge from the current node war stronger and more decentralized than ever. Bullish.
So Bitcoin Core Devs are stewards of the chain again... Well fuck me, they've spent the last months telling plebs to go fuck themselves and they aren't.
