Damn... I think you're right and I feel a bit guilty about it now... I was excited for USA to join Bitcoin instead of fighting it because that would mean Europe and the rest of the world would follow. It's been very stressful to stack sats in Europe until now. But yes they might fuck it up in some way as they have done with everything else...

Honestly, I think politicians are just using bitcoin potential to increase their power. I’d rather have them fighting it than having them falsely adopt it..
