So, we build and promoted Bitcoin to protect ourselves from nation-states.

Right now, you are all getting wet because a nation-state is deciding to buy a lot of bitcoins.

Thanks to this, the very same nation-state will become even more powerful than what it has ever been and will fuck you in any possible way.

AND YOU ARE CHEERING.

Where is the cypherpunk ethos?

Where are the crypto-anarchist ideas?

Where is the focus on the Right to Privacy?

You just want to pump you bags. And that’s disgusting.

Fuck off.

I see the point. But where is the boarder when somebody says that btc is for everybody, dies this include nation States? Who defines what a natuo state is, is it us or them?

But I agree, its a filthy game.

Yes they can buy it, and I want my worst enemy to own bitcoins.

But cheering for criminal organizations to own it it’s another topic.

They got corrupted by number go up and have lost their way.

Bitcoin is inevitable used by those that we don’t wish them to use it. However bitcoin is free so we have no control over it. I don’t think it’s an issue either, I welcome more use cases for bitcoin.

The more it’s being used, the less it’s going away. It’s fair for everyone. Yes those with big pockets can get bigger allocations of It that’s about it.

Good luck to the US or any state to buy a lot of bitcoin. They will quickly see how market reacts.

I never used the stacks sats and stay humble mantra but it’s still good advice.

Yes Bitcoin is for everyone and its beauty is that anyone can you use.

However, cheering for criminal organization to own it its another topic.

Yeah I get what you mean. I’m not cheering though others may because they feel they gain because of the gain in value.

For me bitcoin is much more than a “get rich quick to buy a lambo”. I truly believe in bitcoin being the equalizer we’ve long looked for.

I agree it's not something to be pleased about, but still it's inevitable like the etfs and they can't print more, bitcoin is even for our enemies. States that use bitcoin are actually giving up their central bank powers in a certain way and playing by our rules.

No they are not giving up their powers. They want to own bitcoin to actually increase their dominance.

How will they increase dominance by owning bitcoin?

Damn... I think you're right and I feel a bit guilty about it now... I was excited for USA to join Bitcoin instead of fighting it because that would mean Europe and the rest of the world would follow. It's been very stressful to stack sats in Europe until now. But yes they might fuck it up in some way as they have done with everything else...

Not all bitcoiners like this.

Some of us work from the inside

Are you really so arrogant to believe that no one person who is a punk is also a fed? 🤣

Retired fed

These days, anyone who works for the fedgov is complicit in a system that actively traffics children, enslaves people via debt/fiat, murders millions around the world in useless violence, poisons our food and water in collusion with corporations that really only care about NGU, and oppresses EVERYONE in the world with the megalomaniac desire for global hegemony.

🤮

There's nothing punk about that.

Awe … you’re adorable. ☺️

What privilege one must have to be able to speak on such matters.

Does it matter if I saved trafficking victims? Does it matter if I chose a path out of poverty?

Well, it did to me. Not proud of everything in my life but definitely didn’t just sit on my ass & bitch waiting for someone to save me.

I am priveledged. I was also a part of the warmongering. It disgusts me that I made that choice, even if I was used and bought into the propoganda at the time.

Good for saving victims. But, it would be better if the very gubment you were working for wasn't creating more victims that need to be saved in the first place.

Agreed.

But the salary and benefits for a government job are great...and you don't have to work at all, and you can't be fired!!

Just have to vote appropriately to be sure your free ride in life continues...

What could possibly be bad about that?

Ignorance never ceases to amaze me. Well done. 👍

I once applied for a government job...I was literally told by the hiring manager that II was too results and achievement oriented and my work ethic wouldn't fit in with the culture there, as it was "slower"...

Government is the problem...and government workers are de facto the root of the problem...

“We the people” is preamble of constitution

Fuck outta here telling me I was wrong to do my part to change it from the inside. And I did. Positively proof of work was shown.

I'm sure there are some (like yourself) that may be trying to make a difference...

Most however are on the dole--interested only in doing the least amount of work, not caring about the work they do, and having a salary that far exceeds their worth to society...all in exchange for a vote.

Sorry, but it's true. And it's readily apparent to anyone that's has any interaction at all with government "workers".

For sure. And so what? I don’t get your point, sorry 😅

Make bitcoin punk again 🤘

How should we stop countries from adopting Bitcoin? Censor them?

Or we should just get mad and complain about it?

No, thank God Bitcoin is built for our worst enemies.

Maybe stop cheering and focusing on how to avoid that bitcoin could become a nation-state surveillance tool could be a good way to start.

Ok, make it stop then. Let’s see it. Stop countries from buying bitcoin. Oh, you can’t. So it’s the “cheering”. Make people stop cheering. I’ve seen this for YEARS, these holier than thou evangelists that get on their soap box to yell at plebs even though they do….precisely nothing.

Of course you can’t stop it. Thank God! Bitcoin is for our worst enemies, and that’s a feature not a bug.

However, focusing and thinking of what could be the issues of nation-state adopting bitcoin could be a good start. Or teaching people not about NGU memes, but about the history and goals of this protocol.

Absolutely on your side... But disagree on the "more powerful then ever"

Doesn't matter how many Bitcoin they have, they can't just print more of them

True. But think about the value that bitcoin will have in the long run. They will have a huge amount of money. We must be ready.

They will fractionally reserve the shit out of it, like we've seen with Monero. And as most people will use BTC in custody this will affect BTC in a huge way.

US going strategic reserve and allowing custodians to go fractional, will destroy the investment properties of BTC (price suppression) for at least a decade.

Luckily Monero got delisted from CEX.

I hope by now you have heard of Monero.

Cypherounk ethos is well and alive in the Monero community. And the state is fighting against it with all its power...

Excuse me nostr:nprofile1qqswmc7e2am5uh2u09nykk6s75chp6gzf4mvjrvelj5nyj3ue9u48qs62vz0k, but I think that it doesn't matter if a State is cheering for or fighting against something. As long as the users of the thing reference The State which is interacting with the thing in any way, to make the thing more credible or valuable, I'm calling this NAME DROPPING and therefore this helps the State the most.
