Ok but what does it look like?

Forest

How does that work?

A home in the forest, large glass walls looking over the canopy, preferably on the side of a hill

Sounds peaceful. What about interior of the office?

dark vertical wood panel walls with downlights along the walls, this reminds me of the house from Ex Machina

Hah the other picture you posted is the actual house, its funny i was just searching images of this house and i seen the exact image you posted...

just a mini refrigerator full of different drinks on my desk.

Sounds very doable?

yeap easy

No computer

No desk

No chair

And if yes to all?

no str

A picture speaks a thousand words...

What about something more realistic?

A desk with two big curved screens on it and a lot of RGB and LED strips.

Gonna have that exact setup very soon. Putting offers in on houses now with rooms for a home office.

You like curved screens? What will your room look like?

Yeah they look cool and they let you fit a bigger screen in a smaller space.

I'm not even gonna have a TV just a huge monitor with a streaming box plugged into it. Cheaper and better quality panels and none of the malware smart TVs come with.

As for what the room will look like, hard to say I just know the type of setup I want. If all goes as planned I can buy a house with a decent size spare bedroom so I got a lot of space for my setup.

lots of light & in nature

View on the mountains, a short walk from the beach.

I’m looking for interior descriptions 😂

🤣

- U-shaped desk (3 work areas, for separate tasks) center facing the window (but with blinds that can achieve total darkness)

- Curtain covered cupboard (once curtain is lifted everything is visible and easy to access)

- White board on one side, pin board on the other.

- couch to lie down, and armchair for reading.

- good surround system (atmos music)

- no fridge, coffeemaker,… force me to exit the room and not get lost in hyperfocus

Make the desk adjustable in height (3 sectors independently) for switching between standing and sitting (video editing standing is something I enjoy… blame it on Walter Murch)

I have a wife and an 18 month old… my ideal office is not at home 😅

My current set up is pretty great. You can’t see the desk but it’s behind me in the picture. I think of offices like executive offices from movies. 90% Lounge area for drinking and conversing. 10% desk area for actual work lol 😂

Nice! I’m hesitant putting anything I can lay on in the office 😂 I may not get anything done at all.

As a full time investor my work is to think. Or at least that’s what I tell my wife when she comes in and I’m watching movies in the middle of the day lol 😂

Stunning! What digital clock is that on the left? It’s really cool

One of these. Vintage style flip clock.

Beautiful. Goals for sure!

Panoramic nature view.

Herman miller chair.

Adjustable/Standing desk.

Heater/AC.

Three screens.

Wireless mouse & keyboard.

Phone stand.

Tea box.

Coffee machine.

Couch.

Side table for meetings.

Sound system.

Mini fridge.

Slippers.

Workstation pc/laptop.

4K webcam.

Podcasting mic + accessories.

Overlooking the sea 🌊 🤙🏼

I need monitors, chair, desk, whiteboard. Views don't matter generally to moe, if I work in a dungeon I'm probably more focused anyway. Office to me is always function over form

I was hoping people would actually describe the type of office, style, furniture, colors, but nobody did :(

I would call it industrial but that sounds too cold and inelegant. It is actually well-described as Starbucks style.

It's tough for a creative to ask what is effectively a room full of engineers where they want to work and get the answer they are looking for.

Money no option I want a classic study with an industrial edge.

Modern minimalism in blacks and glass, with brass fixtures.

Large, comfortable chairs, lots of bookshelves, and a big desk.

Large windows for when wanted, blackout curtains for when not wanted.

Luxurious sound system connected to computer, and a turntable for when I’m feeling vinyl. If the sound system had a tube amp, that’d be a + and be part of the decor too.

Am I doing it right?

I like it, just not a fan of glass furniture. Replace with some nice wood and I’m game.
