Governments always get more tyrannical, until they collapse.
Each side loves it, until the opposition takes over again, and they get to find out that payback is a bitch. And then it reverts again. It's always the same.

It would be a breath of fresh air to see someone in power who doesn’t actually want it.
Is there even an example from history?

I'm sure there are plenty of examples, but that's not the point. The one's that will step down still create a system that attracts the wrong types...
I don’t know exactly what that means. I think of the example of when the US constitution was drafted, the founders were weary of too much power being concentrated and they intentionally put in checks and balances.
It’s a healthy kind of weariness that we don’t talk about and value enough. It affords folks in the loop a chance to break out.
Sure. sure. I try not to use the word "founders" any more. "Framers" is a better description of their frailty...
I am sure there are framers on here that would disagree on the frail part. Good luck building a house without frames 😄 what’s the opposite of frames?
#asknostr
It's called an arch. The strongest form in nature. Everything else rights-angled bullshit. I get your point. I'm just word playing with you. Stick frame structures suck. Build with something that doesn't burn.
We are talking about dead humans correct? Frail is very appropriate.
lol foundation and frames
I thought I wrote it very well. Maybe I can restate. The few who DO know how to walk away from power, still create, participate, and further the very system that they must make a difficult decision to "walk away from" as you put it. These types of systems are what attract the types that DO NOT want to walk away. This is THE problem.
What are the systems that attract the healthier folks?
i don't know. i think they were destroyed in the past by more virulent forms of governance. mr. smith goes to washington? defining the machine? preferably one's with more separation of powers. flatter hierarchies. i'm still learning. i do not believe the myth of progress holds 100%.
Idk how legit this example is but legend tells George Washington didn't want to be the first president, was basically sleepy and ready to retire after being the main war general of the revolutionary war
“He even voluntarily stepped down after two terms, establishing the tradition of peaceful transfer of power.”
Don't be so naive, please. ALL Governments are OWNED by a small network of financial institutions and families who are above nations and beyond borders. They control BOTH SIDES, literally EVERYTHING. From raise to collapse of any governmental structure.
compared to theae families, even Elon is a poor sucker
Identify the families so we can be less naive?
- Rothschilds: 250 years banking Europe into submission.
- Rockefellers: oil, pharma, finance.
- Warburgs: Federal Reserve
- Schiff
- Kuhn
- Loeb
- Lazard
- ...
BlackRock and Vanguard which own each other's stocks, and other such veiled holding companies are their extensions. Trillions under management—no transparency.
