oh hi there fellow curly

i shower and condition - comb - and apply leave-in on wet hair, either auntie jackies curl la la definer or novex mystic black

either airdry or slow blowdry if i have time

What about frizz?

The leave in conditioner/definer takes car of that, for me at least.. depends per curl type what you need rly

Lasta max 2d before i have to do the routine again from scratch.

Do you know the CG method? it's very handy.. also for guys. Check it out to find your curl type and based on that what type of leave-in conditioner you need. It focuses also on natural brands where sulfates/parabenes or other hurtful chemicals are not in it

some people need more oilbased products, others more focused on hydration.

for me, curl type 3B/C

- have to apply liberally on wet hair, not a little bit

- scrunch it in from bottom to top, head bowed down

- dont use towel on your hair to dry.. maybe give a little pre-scrunch w tshirt only if it's overly wet

- then dont touch it, let it air dry

- or blowdry (lowest strenght + medium to cold heat)

Will do! Thank you so much

I’m afraid the pretending doesn’t become less false cored just because organized to make me believe.

I'm guessing by pictures I'm a 3a or b as well? Although if I were to just pluck a hair it looks more like 2?🤷🏽

yes 3a/b def!

you can use that as a start to find the best fitting product. you dont need much creme i see. maybe a change in routine on how you apply + let it dry, more so than the product itself

Ok Cool. Yeah I use uhh ...

Well here's a picture.

The third one... Counting from the left... I've only started using recently now and then. It's mostly for beard but I was like I'll try it on my head🤷🏽

I like how it comes out but eventually a wind will pick up my hair then it's everywhere.

The mousse I put on as like a finisher sometimes. Like when everyone already dry, because I feel like it stops it from frizzing but doesn't get hard like gel ya know? But I like the soft natural kind of look/feel if I can get it.

if you want to work towards no frizz:

you need to avoid using shampoo; only use conditioner to cowash and squish to condish

and find a new product for your hair:

i checked the the utility softner, it has a lot of unproductive chemicals in for your curls (eg. alcohol, perfum) that dry it out causing the frizz. you need something sulfate and alcohol free. also check the mouse on this 😇

I shampoo maybe once a week. I condition every day

awesome. that's perfect already haha.

Woo!

Lol yeah it isn't my first time skiing these questions obv🤷🏽

But can always improve!

But on the utility softener ok! Thanks for letting me know! I only used it maybe 3 times so far on my head. I'll look into some other options. 😁😁🤍🖤🤍🖤

He’s kinda telling you what I was saying. The type of henna I use is basically a protein treatment or conditioner. Because you have more 3B hair you don’t want to put too much heat or chemicals.

🙏🏽🙏🏽

I’m still learning 😅 Henna helps—a lot. I use henna color lab to cover up my gray hair and it makes my hair easier to comb through

Henna really ?? 😁

Is your hair red then?

It’s brownish with a red tint. It just covers up my gray hair and makes it easier to comb through 😅 doesn’t dye it really

Oh! Ha! Interesting. I've never heard that before!

you mean comb outside the shower?
