Its one of its many uses, as well as a dye for jeans its used to stain the cells for microscopy work, been trying it out today for the first time. I am curious as it has such positive effects for people in the right dose what it could do for plants though out side of just colouring it in..... Might have to try it with some infrared light next as it reacts to that.
