coding

learning web development right now πŸ‘€

feel like i’m starting to see the matrix whenever i open a website πŸ˜†

that's awesome! πŸ’œ

keep going

it structures your mind in very useful and fun ways πŸ˜€

πŸ’œ thank you so much for the kind words

how do you usually go about learning a new language? just going through the documentation, messing around and ChatGPT + stackoverflow when in need?

I've never learned a language since ChatGPT became a thing, I would probably now use it to ask questions as I would a teacher, but I wouldn't rely too heavily in it.

To me the easiest way is to just try to write something, even if dumb and stumble into things.

E.g. one of the first things I wrote as a kid was a hello world that made a typo, so it would write one character at a time "Hello Wrld" and then type Backspace, Backspace until it would add the missing o

It's silly but doing something that dumb teaches you how to delay things, how to loop, conditionals, etc etc πŸ˜€

That’s some wonderful advice, thank you so much Pablo β€οΈπŸ‘

πŸ’œ

keep crushing, given that you have an eye for design, if you become a bit familiar with coding you'll be unstoppable πŸ’œ

too kind, i just want to make nostr more user-friendly πŸ’œ

ChatGPT could make experienced software engineers even more valuable if next generation developers have their growth stunted by a dependency on β€œblack box” code generation.

It will all be eventually become prompting in years to come. People who actually fundamentally excel in those fields, are gonna have big advantages over the regular people asking for code

yeah, I think it's useful as a productivity multiplier, but, no matter how much you multiply 0 you always get the same answer

DMT was fun

how would you describe your experience? πŸ€”

It was sort of like 15 minutes of being inside an old school video game like Super Mario for the original nintendo. I thought all movement was left to right and saw people digitized. If you go into it knowing that it's a trip and it won't last very long (also doesn't feel like an eternity) then you're good.

Meditation, surfing, coding, photography,…

never tried surfing before πŸ€”πŸ’œ

i’ve only done couple guided meditation sessions using Headspace like a year ago, haven’t done it since πŸ€”

also photography is definitely something i’d like to get into one fay

Fish and chips with mushy peas 🀀

πŸ€”πŸ€” never had that before πŸ’œ

Another #tanelhasnt 🀌🎏πŸ₯”πŸ«›

🀣 that’s correct

What’s the word?

Marriage.

πŸ€” still consider it too early for me, but i’m pro-marriage tbh

seems like these days, with the dating culture, everybody has become so disposable

skinny-dipping

i’m not sure that i’ve done it πŸ€”

maybe after sauna

Silent meditation retreat

never heard of it before, what’s that? πŸ€”

It’s a great feeling.

Multiple day meditation retreat where there is no talking ( you can ask teacher Q’s), no phones, books etc it’s an introspective experience where you learn to meditate and meditate multiple hours a day. Where you meditate on the nature of reality (your breath/ bodily sensation) and learn to increase your awareness and equanimity. Many have deep experiences, profound shifts and insights during these retreats.
