One way we could make relays more user friendly is to call them something - a label. Then in the app reference them by label and some other short identifier or icon.

At that point you don’t need to show all the intimidating web socket formats and just show the label + icon.

They have descriptions but they are usually bad and I don’t think you can edit them. No icon other than author

Most relays are roughly the same and so their description makes no sense.

OTOH custom relays/feeds do differ and have a proper description and admin, those could be used to populate a nice table of relay+author+desc+url+icon(if we extend the relay info NIP to include 'icon' field).

Labels for relays are heavily discussed in NIP-32 as 'relay reviews', just FYI
