I think there should be a feed section that displays notes from people who follow you. This feature would be especially beneficial for new users and those with fewer followers and large accounts will also find users with similar interest.

Doesnโ€™t Primal have something similar

You can add anyoneโ€™s feed to your timeline in primal.

But TIL I can't add a feed to Primal based on an existing profile list :(

You can make lists in coracle.social

Yeah, need to go try Coracle. Does it support NIP-46 or NIP-07 login? I practice safe nsecs.

Yes. I like it a lot. Snort too.

Yeah, it works great on primal, but just adding this features solely shouldn't be that difficult.

I definitely donโ€™t want to see a feed of all my followers. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I really want to ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚ sometimes, I find some content using hashtags and realize that the user was already following me. It happens many times.

It is a strange situation. I come from being unnoticed on Twitter because no one sees tweets from a checkmark free guy with 20 followers to being unnoticed here because 1/3 of my followers are myself. Not that anyone is missing out. I don't meme.

We would love to hear your thoughts. Additionally, when users get interaction, it encourages them to post more. We will definitely have this option very soon; there are already some solutions.

It isn't something that I have been able to solve. It is the graph bootstrapping problem. You want a high quality graph that reflects real-life relationships and is complete enough to have efficient paths to interesting strangers. But you can't get everyone to join at once.

Early days gets you an interesting group of like-minded individuals, but in the midterm most of the graph connections are meaningless and don't really reflect real-world knowledge or trust. Trying to connect to meaningful conversations requires lots of personal dedication and filtering. There may not be a good way to do it algorithmically since the data just isn't there.

The #1 goal needs to be improving the quality of connections by providing apps that are useful or entertaining to real world groups that just sneakily happen to use Nostr as an ID and data exchange layer. Stupid stuff like employee portals or student information systems. Imagine being able to transfer seamlessly between employers or schools.

nostr:npub1zuuajd7u3sx8xu92yav9jwxpr839cs0kc3q6t56vd5u9q033xmhsk6c2uc It would be way easier for Listr to implement this if there were an option to turn your followers into a list and keep that list updated.

Thatโ€™s a cool idea. The hard part is building the list with enough/the right data. Getting all of a userโ€™s followers is notoriously difficult. The list aspect is trivial though.

I think api.nostr.band can provide that data, but I'm not sure; I'll have to read the doc. I will also look into it.

The problem I see with this is that I never want to read posts from all followers, because the more followers you get, the more bots you get, that just follow you for no reason other than them being some spam/scam/troll bot.

Right now, this is no problem in Nostr, especially for me, since barely anyone follows me & Nostr still needs way more users.

However, even with such a comparatively small user base, I've already seen a couple of annoying accounts & plenty of spam, which you all probably experienced as well with those airdrop bullshit notes.

If there were a way to filter all spam crap from such a feed, I would definitely be interested in it, though. :)
