Can’t Nostr DMs be reworked so that only the recipient is identified, but not the sender? (Except to the recipient, who can identify the sender from the message once unencrypted)? #asknostr

no issues using DM from following aka contacts only - JUST DNOT respond to any UNFOLLOWED DMs

That is exactly what new style dms do

My 2c on DMs is that we (not me) should build an XMPP registry that is of the form [npub]@website, and you have to have the corresponding nsec to claim an address

Then just use XMPP for instant comms

I feel like Simplex can fold into nostr clients easily. It’s XMPP at its core
