Indeed. We are ruled by absolute psychopaths. When people refer to government as a source of justice or good works I want to fucking puke
Discussion
Itβs really quite said. To be fair, government has a role. At its most basic is to collect taxes, collect trash, build and maintain infrastructure. The rest.. privatise. Though unregulated privatization can also be dangerous but that shouldnβt be the governmentβs job either.

Ultimately, the truth is people will be people. Anyone who has an agenda will fuck anyone over indiscriminately.
The poor will fuck over the poorer and bad people will kill, exploit and manipulate anyone willing to hand it over.
I am often surprised at the (moral, civil, ethical) acts that surprise others.
I mean, it's not chess. Some of it is just basic checkers.
*(immoral, unethical and uncivilized)
You mean youβre often not or no longer surprised..
I suppose at its most basic, you take the institutional labels away, you get people who are sheep and where there are sheep, there will always be wolves.
Assume I'm wearing a tin hat for this post.
An extreme alimplification of the this situation and example.
We invite Ukraine into NATO so that we can sell them weapons.
Russia invades Ukraine.
The public is surprised. This last line surprises me. You don't have to be a General to see what the next move was going to be.
Put in a more concise manner "I am often surprised at the things that surprise people." π€¨π§

Ah I see.
Suppose not everyone will ever see it clear as day. There's willful idiocy, plain idiocy and the fact that some simply don't care and don't even want to know. The kind of ignorance that gives people like you migraines. π
1,000% I've learned to yawn without opening my mouth bc I've had to endure those conversations.
Wise choice.
I read a survey that most Swiss people still have healthy levels of trust in our government. We're not at the point of no return just yet. It's never not a good idea to watch America dig itself a hole though. Something we can learn from. Different as we may be in many ways, people with agendas are the same.
As you've previously stated (paraphrased of course), humanity is comprised of many different types of humans. Failure to acknowledge there are bad actors amongst them is setting your house up for failure or extinction.
As for my country. I move through time and space conducting my usual affairs of the day/week. I come across many folks that have their wits about them and their house affairs in order (across a spectrum of generations).
I also make note of the sheep that are waiting to be herded.
The former have few words and busy with life walking the walk.
The loud ones are usually the sheep and they don't even know it.
The worst is not behind us yet. But I am optimistic.
I'm also quite optimistic. I read that many people bought a lot of guns over thanksgiving weekend. π That's a bloody good sign.
Yes, I've seen that first hand at the club I go to.
But not only that, a lot more parents are home schooling, more neighbors are growing their own food and going without TV programing.
These are all positive signs to be optimistic about. I think the COVID shut downs got folks off that hamster wheel long enough to clear their thinking.
