For me the Nostr protocol *was* the evidence, but it turns out this thing is being run by soydevs who can't say no to retarded new features instead of letting a good thing live bloat-free.

My concern is the removal of basic stuff such as likes. I don't mind additional features as long as they aren't forced down our throats.

Interesting thread here.

I feel like there's a ton being worked on here. It truly is a space for everyone. Not having any sort of algorithm is actually pretty tough.

Monero will be intertwined into nostr soon, considering cake wallet is working on a wallet connection and a nostr client called Topaz.

Not sure how I stumbled on all y'alls feed here, but I found it, and this is exactly why I like nostr.

Were you aware there are a few xmr relays as well???

I’m not so sold on the hosting model anymore either. It seems like a good idea to decouple accounts from websites, but that also means there’s no incentives for new communities to migrate to the network. I think maybe Blue Sky’s solution will be the better one after all.

Someone else said there were cops on there and I never got a response as to whether that was jannies or literal police. If bluesky is just another censorship platform like twitter but without the userbase it seems pointless tbh.

I heard something about centralized "code of conduct" or something like that, which would apply to ALL bluesky instances, and I immediately lost interest.

Long live fedi, I guess. 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's also just very inefficient by design and the clients don't really optimize shit either.
