Some people might have already picked this up. I have become chairman of the United Bitcoin Companies the Netherlands. This group of companies has recently won its second lawsuit against the Dutch central bank and is working together with multiple institutions to improve the bitcoin landscape in the Netherlands.

It is for instance hard to get a bank account if you start a bitcoin company. We’re currently in the process of finalizing a sector document in cooperation with the Dutch banks, so there’s clear guidance and possibilities instead of standard rejection of bank account requests. We want to make sure that the Netherlands is not pushing every company abroad. In this podcast in Dutch we warn the Dutch regulator for overregulation and excessive cost which might send all companies abroad under micar. The upcoming year will be interesting to say the least.
