Also interesting, the #Nostr retention rate is actually getting worse. In fact, it's been getting consistently worse, over 6 months.
One could say, as client's get more polished, fewer people decide to stay ;) Of course that's probably not the reason.
It's p obvious what the problem is.
A client that is savvy enough to set some default filters (sliders?) to hide b!tcoin and b!tcoin slogans would probably have a significantly improved retention rate.
*I know a few clients have mute word options. I mean a client that from the very start offer some filter of that sort of noise from the very beginning, onboarding sign up stage.

Nobody here is "wrong"; Not at all. Everybody can, and should do whatever they please; I'm just pointing out, that the soup's not very attractive right now, and the stats back that up.

The problem for myself, and I suspect many others here, is that I am genuinely weird. These are my interests that I'm looking to share with the world. The normal in the real person behind this Nym isn't hiding on another social site under another Nym, it does not exist.
What you're describing is not a good apprroach. No one's saying how wrong everyone is. This is merely constructive criticism. A good thing. This is how nostr will make more progress. But, too much engagement is taking place on the social media clients, imo. nostr:npub1cmmswlckn82se7f2jeftl6ll4szlc6zzh8hrjyyfm9vm3t2afr7svqlr6f for example has made a great client which really doesn't seem like it's getting the attention it deserves.

I was complaining about this early in the year and I'm mostly glad that many seem on the same page about the state of the Nostr community.
It's unsustainable. You can't keep a community going on nothing but generic positivity.
Go touch grass and make friends you like to talk to. Complaining about what other people like to talk about is directionless
You just need to follow more people here. I follow very quickly and then if I find that it's not that interesting after all or I don't like the content, I unfollow again 🤷🏼♀️ That actually makes it pretty entertaining here. But admittedly I'm a #bitcoin enthusiast and #freedom fighter 😂
