I'm still kind of hesitant to type my private key into any android app, tbh. Not sure if app based signing solutions already exist.

Where are you confident to type it? I'm assuming we all will need to dump our keys for new ones once an offline signing option becomes available. Not sure how that'll work though. Signing every time you want to like or comment? It would need to be very easy to sign.

On desktop, I'm using Alby, which of course requires trust as well, but it's better than having to trust every client I want to try. I nuked my old acc after having used it on anigma and would prefer to not having to do it again.

I want a tapsigner type ring as a signing device for Nostr mobile clients. World be perfect for this use case.

Finally, a real use case for NFC.

Why can't you just use one of these ?

Sure, would work for a laptop/computer. I don't think you can use one for a nostr private key as they are though.

No but if I can log into my eBay app on phone via NFC why not Nostr?

Surely someone smart could make something work ??

Yea, although whether you type it in an app or a browser plugin, trust is required regardless i guess.

I didn't have to type mine into the app, it just worked so i guess it picked it up from my web based session.

Yeah, sure plugins require trust as well, but it's a central point of failure. Guess I have trust issues since anigma.

I was already using iris via android web browser anyway so the damage was already done lol.
