I think having a "Trust nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx" heuristic and then verifying will put you on the right path more often than not.

I don't think he wants the weight of people's trust. He just wants us to think for ourselves and verify our information.
I respect him and listen when he speaks, but I don't trust him any more than anyone else who I follow on social media.
Sadly I don't have the skills to evaluate code, or dig into a company's financials. Best I can do is think critically about who in the space is worth trusting based on what they've said and how they say it, and also where/why they clash with others in the space. Its worked for me so far.
I agree with you. I'm similar in that I'm limited in what I can directly verify myself. So I listen to the people I respect and make a judgment call. It's the closest to verification that's possible in most situations.
I'm just trying to say that lionizing anyone, no matter how well deserved, can backfire.

agree with most of what you say. he owes no one anything. But he seems genuine in his motives and speech, and that makes me take what he says way more seriosuly than most others i have heard - especially the long-haired Swan Man.
