Moms are the unsung heroes of our society. They juggle it all without fanfare or accolades. They do it for the love of their children — a love greater than any other.

Waking up to the realities of the chronic health epidemic is painful because it is hard to fathom that our government has ignored the signs for so long. It is hard to stomach that our political system is stacked so unevenly when it comes to supporting the freedom of science to question the "why." Before getting on stage last week, I was worried if I was tough enough for the job. People warned that "they" would "tear me apart." I sometimes think that the "they" everyone is worried about just hasn't had time to find their way to the truth yet. I have deep faith they one day will.
