Nice!

Oho. It's based on phyro promise ledger?

Not sure about that name but that might be the case! Cashu was originally based on minicash in the very beginning which is a minimal ecash implementation that phyro built!

Got it. Phyro point me to cashu when i told him about my c++ implementation of minicash. Nice and extended work.

promise ledger? that sounds like something interesting to me.

i there a github or something?

never mind, i found them!

First zap ever. Damn, that was easy.

Do you post your vídeos on any other platform? I’ve searched on Rumble, but didn’t find anything.

Perfect video, you explained it so well! I'm going to borrow and refer to some of your wonderful explanations in the future! Thank you Ben!

👏

No worries dude! Thanks for the kind words - I struggled in parts regarding my explanation (I'm not super in tune with the cryptography at work here) but hopefully the main message got across!

Here is another great article you can read if you want to learn more about Cashu and ecash:

I learned a lot from Ben over the years and today will learn some more watching this

Very interesting. For users with their own LN nodes, I guess it could function a bit like a Coin Join onchain. Instead of sending from and receiving to your node, you can use a mint inbetween for better privacy.

LN custodial wallets should definitely look into this like you suggested!

Great video by #[0] about cashu. Seems like a great implementation opportunity is for nostr clients:

1. One-click zaps are possible with an integrated wallet

2. Integrated wallets are likely to be custodial, BUT…

3. Lightning routing fees are brutal for small zaps and

4. Cashu mints/wallets run by nostr clients would be more private (blinded) and no-fee
