I wrote a letter to FMC$A for OOIDA way back when we were making a stand against the tyrannical government grifters who use the word $afety for profit.

I explained little things like putting a ticking time bomb countdown clock on a drivers dash board is in no way safe. It is a stress causing situation, puts more pressure on the driver. A control and coersion device. I likened it to a convicts ankle monitor. An a.i. virtual prison gaurd. An unnecessary punishment for this 2+ million (Now 3+) mile safe driver with awards to prove it. And any other proven safe driver that has passed the test of time and space (miles)

It promotes bad behaviors behind the wheel with the countdown to a potential rules of service violation. Things like to fast for conditions, speeding in school zones, parking lots. Trying to make up for "lost time" Forcing drivers to run tired in bad weather & rush hours. Another never ending distraction. If it promotes $afety why have the statistics of highway deaths involving big trucks not gone down? I read back then that the big electronics companies were lobbying the career criminal polly-tishans here in the formerly "united" states of "Murica" to mandate it. Qualcom was one of several that sank $43 million into the lobbyist bribers of lawmakers for hire in the year just before they became mandatory.

Told ya I had nothing nice to say about the ELD.

Just Like the auto shift trucks. It just makes it easier to put a really low i.q. meat sack behind the wheel. Now we got illegal migrant criminal invaders getting behind the wheel of big trucks killing people. This world is in the shitter... "FLUSH PLEASE"
