Interesting take. I note Roger Waters, who is someone I have come to trust, has come out strongly in support of Maduro.

That's no problem, and indeed we are standing on firmer ground when we acknowledge we don't know the whole picture. But we can still talk, and acknowledge the possibility of psy-ops, manufactured consent etc. Also, the officially-announced election result in Venezuela is much more open to challenge by US observers, whereas the US result is sacrosanct and those challenging it are insurrectionists!
