Yes, we are talking about the upcoming AML Regulation in the #EU - we don't have much time - votes should be on 22nd of April in the European Parliament.

We have recently been informed that during the Trialogue, the Commission has removed all financial inclusion provisions we promoted to defend #bitcoin self-hosted wallets/ p2p transactions, protection of the financial data from abuses and vis-à-vis individual customers labelled as "high risk", such as refugees, asylum seekers, human rights defenders, and NGOs and their representatives and associates from the up-to-date draft #AML regulation.

In particular :

Also we are talking about very discriminatory approach of the #ESMA and EU Commission.

ESMA is the EU’s financial markets regulator and supervisor.

ESMA is working on the draft report for the EU Commission about the sustainability indicators, and from its methodology language we understand they are going to classify #PoW and #bitcoin mining as unsustainable for environment before 30 June 2024.

This language was used in ESMA's methodology of in the second consultation paper entitled “Technical Standards specifying certain requirements of MiCA (Page 87)”:

Help spread the word, persuade other bitcoiners to take the initiative and do the same in the #UK before the election - UK is one of G7 countries. Journalists also need to be educated. You will be surprised how your position and example makes changes.

History and great results are created by the joint efforts of personalities, which capable to unite others around their ideas.
