BlackRock wouldn't talk about #bitcoin like that unless they already bought what they needed. If I'm wrong and they wait until the spot ETF is approved, they won't be getting it so cheap.

They don’t care about what the price is. They won’t be paying it, the ETF holders will be. They will issue as many shares as it takes to get a share price that the market finds attractive. They just want people to buy their fund.
Ok that makes sense. I don't mess with ETFs so I wouldn't know. But it just seems like a bad idea to talk about an asset like that publicly if they intended on purchasing it in the future.
