My grandma used to take left over mashed potatoes and make potato cakes with them. They were so freaking good. Tried to make them today and they were good, but not grandma good.

Maybe she fried them in lard or bacon fat? That could add significantly to the flavor profile 😁

Honestly I am not sure what her secret was but they sure don’t hit like when she made them.
