Oh cool, that sounds like a good educational one. Self custody should absolutely be everyones first step. Lot of good resources out there on how to do so too. But with your help, I'm sure your mum will have no issues when the time comes (if not already done).
Lolz, good old Quad’CX. Kinda crazy story … I NARROWLY escaped losing some corn on there. I had made a little iOS app to check and refresh the prices on a bunch of exchanges including theirs… and lo & behold, I started noticing the Sell price on Quad’ being regularly anywhere between 5-20% HIGHER than the buy price on any other exchange. After initial excitement at the ‘’potential opportunity’’ I realized it was too good to be true and probably a signal of risk, and then looked into their fiat withdrawal methods and their sketchy payments processor Crypto Capital … which made me immediately withdraw all my corn … … just a week or two before they collapsed

Hehe, still had a few days of nervous limbo while my withdrawal was “pending” [for them to actually give it back], I’m guessing it was timed w/ luck or just “chosen” as it was not a Whale-level amount or just sheer chance. I felt so bad for the folks who got shut in. Wonder where the court case stands/ended(?)…
