At least Amethyst, Primal, Iris, Snort, Coracle, Nostrudel, and Nostur have some sort of trending algorithm or DVM allowing users to create their own custom feed of content, including what's hot or trending. Yesterday, I launched this bot to help people catch up on trending notes no matter what client they're using. If you don't use those features or clients, this bot serves as a helper, helping you new discover content directly from your main fees. Enjoy.

Much more than trending from the usual 10 npubs, I'd love to see a bot that digs up undiscovered content and brings it to the surface. There's so much great content out there on nostr, but it's really tough to find it. No need to add more signal to what's already being amplified imo.
DVMs can do this. I use them often.
How do you calculate what’s trending? Will Alice and Bob see the same set of trending notes or does it depend on their follows list?

Is there a way to show a short caption or maybe the trending note itself? Instead of having to click on each @note link? Maybe that would become to big and spammy? But adding who’s note is trending for example could help. 🤷🏻♂️💜
