THIS NOTE IS FOR MYSELF

People who sell things love to tell you that you are 'saving' money.

The idea of "saving" or "savings" is a propagandized word.

A seller will tell you, "If you buy this within the next three days, then you'll be saving 25%." The reality is you might just be spending less.

Spending less is good if planned, but if something is suddenly on sale for a lower price, and I buy it then I never saved any money because I have less money now than before I bought it.

The only saved money is money unspent.

Are couponers still a thing? They would "save" tons of money buying random things because they had a coupon for it.

I always knew you were smart, but now I know you're a genius!

I r smrt?

I hated the coupon ladies when I was a cashier, they were terrible customers.

The couponers have turned into the rewards card members. Spend more money to get x dollars back later.

Zapping my note now is saving you 30% compared to zapping my note last month ⚡️

🧐

My father in law jokes about the mother in law “we can't afford you saving us anymore money”

I love that. I'm gonna try to remember this one.

I like to spend judiciously, and get quality on the few things I want. "Buy cheap, pay twice"

Kinda unrelated but I felt like posting something

I've been moving in this direction.
