I watched a movie last night that I hoped would actually get better, but it didn’t.

I realized how similar this is to being in a relationship with a narcissist. We continue to hope and look for the good things. Holding onto every single breadcrumb we get.

It doesn’t get better though and often gets worse.

It’s much easier to turn off a bad movie than to get out of a bad relationship.

One of the first steps is simply recognizing it isn’t going to get better because it hasn’t.
