I am curious what brings permaculture and homesteading folks not already into nostr and btc to nostr?
What makes these folk stay? What makes them join, and quit?

Discussion
What if anything might nostr devs or community do specifically to better welcome non-nostr non-btc permie folk?
clients should strive to do things completely vs partially.
as much as i like amethyst, it doesnt really do anything exceedingly well. most aspects are at most 60-70% complete. i assume damus also suffers from this as there isnt enough champions to work on the various projects.
as examples...
- posting events: ux could be improved with a rich text/markdown editor or preview for markdown support. ability to drag/drop images within the text, and associate some alt/title tags for visual impaired (this last issue may be a protocol weakness). sure would be nice if users could add tags, labels and denote a post was supposed to be in a community they are in. also not sure why attachments are limited to specific image types. id like to include an mp4 or a pdf but alas, no can do within the app, i have to upload externally then manually carry that url over.
- viewing events: allow text resizing, and more menu actions like view json. allow hiding nested quoted events X+ levels deep.
- lists: this feature is at best 10% complete as you can filter by them but not create or edit them
- communities: better support than lists, but buried in a weird section of the app i refer to as the junk drawer.
- polls: partially supported. nip hasnt been finalized.
- locations: great data collection, no search support, and gps based, so for associating after the fact i need to use fakegps programs. just let me specify coordinates manually
- search: exceptionally weak. no way to use filters..not even calendar choice of since/until
