The physics say that if they aren't producing heat, they are that much more efficient. Energy can't be lost.

So you don't need that big of an explanation because you just became more profitable.

No. If you have a 5KW ASIC that makes no heat and one that does, the cool one HAS to be almost 100% more efficient. That energy needs to go somewhere.

So you either increase the hashrate drastically, or bring energy usage down drastically.

If that energy is coming in, it needs to come out. If not in the form of heat, then in the form of hash.
