I booked a vasectomy and it was over a year. I went to Mexico, had it booked in 5 days after my appt. Mind you I paid for it, but it was maybe $1100 cad.
The wait times are crazy ! For the same thing here it's between 1 and 2 weeks for an ultrasound and between 1 and 2 months for an MRI (depending on the city where you make an appointment) and already we're complaining that it's slow.
What?! How is that normal?! These wait times can actually be the difference between life and death in some cases
I don't think it's normal, but as a patient, you don't have a choice: either the doctor who prescribes the MRI decides it's an emergency and you'll be given priority, or you'll wait for a spot at one of the imaging centers.
When life is at stake, there's no waiting; you go to the emergency room and they take care of everything.
