Most nodes are running on 1TB or 2TB solid states.

There will be a lot of costs involved from plebs to upgrade and sooner rather than later with block utilization which is the point I was making.

...somehow, I think Bitcoin will survive just fine. We're a long way from them needing to upgrade from a 2TB HD still.

Of course Bitcoin will survive.

It just bothers me from a standpoint that we are making layer 1 more demanding. I can happily afford better internet, better hard drives, etc… but I’m not going to act like what’s easy for me is easy for others. Less demand, the further the freedom expands.

I’ll leave it there. This is a tired discussion.

Hopefully this plays out as a net positive.
