I hate malls!

Honestly, that’s probably one reason Amazon will be the last thing I give up.
I can do all the research I want from the comfort of my couch, then go online and buy local or via Amazon.
Most local business we support isn’t retail, it’s service businesses or ones that have a service component.
For example, getting burgers at a new local place right now then we are headed to a board game cafe to learn a new game as a family.
Those are valid reasons to me.
Going “shopping” I have zero interest in 🙃
That's spot on, I see it the same way.
I do however like supporting independent online shops. Etsy is a good starting place for finding interesting and unique gifts for people.
They are a nightmare and at this time of the year the worst place to be
