I will say mobile Primal notifications are superior. I use Amethyst 99% of the time on mobile, but the notifications can be shit sometimes.

I disagree primal notifications work about 20% of the time on Android
The problem is IMO that the notifications get firstly shown as in timeline, then after you saw the first time and come back they are not grouped by type kind and becomes a mess

I was told Pokey helps with notifications on amethyst
I had battery issues when using it. That was when it first came out though, maybe I'll give it another go. Vitor was looking to integrate Pokey into Amethyst in a future release so hopefully that helps solve some problems I have.
Not sure but it seems like amethyst does generally use tons of data

Not push notifications, those are generally shit on every client. In-app notifications are different though, Primal will show notifications that just don't exist on Amethyst.
Oh gotcha 👍 and yes, that's true. Primal have their own catching mechanisms between Nostr and user. I don't use Primal, but I do see difference between Amethyst and Yakihonne
