I have no reason to have it, because lightning is already enough
Lightning's channel balances seems problematic to me.
Lovely UX - I have used it IRL and bought a shirt with it, but it will end up being a Bitcoin Bank soon.
What do you mean it will be a bank?
It will centralize to only those who can fund channels for big transit of transactions.
Running a node or "channels for people" by the average person will be harder unless you have a big capital (which will slowly be eaten up).
All round the idea sucks.
