Specifically people doing MacBook repairs are complaining a lot about Apple trying to prevent them from doing their job my making parts unavailable to unauthorized repair shops while replacing unnecessary partsor genrally fucking over the customer in their own shops.

Louis Rossman has a great channel on youtube, where he (aside from other things) explains in detail what issues independent repair shops face from Apple. (and not only them. but he specializes on Macbooks, so he talks a lot about them)
