i never read that book but now i almost want to, it really did kinda seem like inspired by some kind of alien contact experience

why they chose to describe it that way is kinda comical but the dimensions mostly line up, you see what i mean?

this is a VERY large spacecraft, there's no way it could be human origin, seems to me

i mean, i don't think that even a sea-going vessel has ever been built by humans on this scale, i think aircraft carriers are about the biggest rigid vessels ever manufactured by humans that can ... well, float in water, but flying in the air, at this scale, i mean it's stupendous

Looks like a play on new Jerusalem coming down

maybe but you can't hide that you are building something on this scale, and then fly it around at mach 2+ without it being extremely rigid and aerodynamic, the improbabilities are epic on this case

also, i think that New Jerusalem is shiny, this is like stealth jerusalem or something
