Bitcoin is legal in every country. It's permissionless borderless open source.

There is no such thing as illegal Bitcoin.

Considered, by the government, as a share like asset that they want to tax gains etc. But I agree with nostr:npub1nqx3lfjxpkqhck3kgrdtkhncvffe94l7qrep6ftw49nphnmw9szqvh3quf, it's legality has no impact as they can't control it.

in Malaysia, it is governed by the security comission as digital assets. similar to share frankly. but we have not yet implement capital gain tax. maybe next year

Ethically speaking: always legal.

By the laws in Brazil 🇧🇷:

Hodl = no taxes whatsoever

Selling with "profit" of lass than R$ 6000 = no taxes

"profit" between R$6k and R$30k = 15% taxes

"profit" over R$30k = 22% taxes

AFAIK, Indonesia government allowed Bitcoin and any cryptocurrency as invesment/commodity assets under BAPPEBTI - Badan Pengawas Perdagangan Berjangka Komoditi regulatory. But, it is not allowed to be used for legal payments (only Rupiah is allowed by Indonesia central bank).

in Malaysia, MYR is the legal currency, but accepting Bitcoin or other currency for transaction is not illegal

To some extent, it's very legal in my country 🇳🇬

then you should stack more more more

I'm trying here. Thank you 🤙
