I don't mean just having a very quick look around. More like a quick test drive. Setting someone up with less spam is almost essential now if you're onboarding them, no?

Then perhaps set them up with some of the WoT relays.

At this point the nostr experience is far from polished. You are not going to win someone over with the great user experience. You are going to win them over ideologically. If they don't get excited by what nostr represents then no amount of or lack of spam will make them "get it". And if they are not willing to push through some spam then they probably won't be willing to push through empty feeds, relays not connecting, notifications and replies not showing up, notes not being viewable and all of the other quirks that come with the nostr at this stage.

Yeah I get it, I haven't recommended nostr to anyone I know irl cos there's no point. They wouldn't stay.

WoT relays is a good shout. Just thinking of possible options for when needed.

The spam issue isn't even that big a deal. The somewhat lack of content*/ constant bitcoin slogans is the nostr barrier of entry.

There's no easy solution to that tho.

*Although I think if I knew permaculture or radio/Meshtastic people I would say nostr would be an easy recommendation.
