The Serpent is the latest work of the Canadian artist David Altmejd (born1974). When he began the large-scale installation, which consists of a series of heads, he had no idea what it was going to look like or the size it was going to be. Altmejd sees the process of making as the heart of his sculptures, appreciating the unpredictable + chaos. The Serpent is now on view at the White Cube New York.
