I have had to deal with someone who went against all the "rules", i.e. ways of working, i.e. the way the process works, to smuggle in requirements for a stakeholder that clearly had bad intentions and did everything to shove more work down our throat than would be reasonable. The process guarded against that.
I asked/told in several instances to follow the process, cut the lies manipulation and misrepresentation, such that we can push back in the way we are supposed to. They did *everything* to sabotage any effort to get things in order.
Then later, I see them walk out of a meeting *crying* because said stakeholder was putting yet more pressure on them. And I told them time and again, choose your own team and let us all push back together against this bs, but no they keep defending a stakeholder that crossed *many* lines.
Nope, never. That’s wild
