I have a 401k and an investment account with a broker, I took some nice gains (Tesla, the investment account) off the table to help pay for moving into a house, I might have bought a bit of bitcoin too but it wouldn't make up the bulk of bitcoin I have today. I'm perfectly committed to bitcoin, and its a hill I'm prepared to get skewered on if that's the consequence of fighting for a better world. I just also believe that money is exactly HALF of every transaction, meaning even under a sound money standard we still need entrepreneurs creating the actual wealth, where money is only a receipt for the value created.
With that in mind, I think certain companies have an incredible value proposition, even if they are very speculative. I will happily invest in a starlink IPO, because it presents the opportunity for global high speed internet accessible to anyone with access to fresh air, and its proximity to spacex which could have a market cap higher than the sum of all existing value. I have been at times a begrudging Tesla investor, but in the time I've held they have become the top car brand in the world, and they seem to be the only car brand capable of adapting to current and predictable market conditions.
The only thing I don't like, is the counterparty risk posed by my broker.
