unhelpful conspiratorial comment, but i can't help but think it's due to the fact that there were nothing but Trump signs in yards in that whole region. they were his biggest fans.

Yeah NC is a swing state right? I’m not sure this is how the current admin will swing it back to their favor. I hate to think that they are “dismissing the deplorables” but that is certainly a suspicion among Appalachians.
Swing state, yes, but the sun belt swing states are polling for trump according to NYT Sienna poll.
